Publisher and Editor-In Chief

Glenda Swain is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief for PIVOT magazine. In this role, Glenda is responsible for the editorial direction of the magazine which focuses on career coaching and development for its readership and diversity recruitment strategies for its corporate partners. She is also responsible for all advertising revenue for the publication.

 

Glenda has worked in corporate America in several roles of increasing responsibility including The Coca-Cola Company as the Director of Talent Acquisition for its North America Foodservice, Hospitality and Retail divisions – the company’s largest, customer-facing organizations. She was also responsible for diversity communications within these organizations.

 

Glenda has also worked in the auto industry for 2 of the Big 3 automakers where she focused on diversity and inclusion as well as talent development for the manufacturing and engineering organizations.

 

She is also the President and CEO of The PIVOT Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide career readiness strategies to students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

 

To reach as many students as possible, The PIVOT Foundation has developed a curriculum of virtual workshops which are designed to help the students effectively pivot from the classroom to the workplace.

 

Glenda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Grambling State University and a master’s degree in labor relations and human resources from Michigan State University.

 

She is a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc.
